St. Jacob's Farmer's Market

St. Jacob's Farmer's Market entrance

One of the largest farmers' markets in Canada, running every Thursday and Saturday since 1975. Fresh produce from Mennonite farms, homemade baked goods, local cheeses, meats, and a sprawling flea market. Open year-round Thursday and Saturday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Tuesdays added through the summer months.

A short 3 km drive from Hammer Haus — close enough to go early, fill a bag, and be back for breakfast on the patio.

What to Expect

The market splits into two main buildings plus an outdoor flea market that runs alongside. Inside you'll find Mennonite farmers selling seasonal produce, local butchers, cheese makers, bakers, and specialty food vendors. The flea market side covers everything from handmade crafts and jewellery to antiques and clothing.

Tips for Your Visit

Go early — the best produce and baked goods sell out by mid-morning. Bring cash for the smaller vendors. Parking is free and plentiful. In summer, the outdoor section expands significantly and the crowds follow, so a Thursday visit is quieter than Saturday.
